People have different personalities and don't always understand one another (or themselves).
Often this results in unnecessary and unproductive conflict in the workplace.
DiSC® is an assessment tool and live workshop that unpacks core personality traits and tendencies, allowing individuals to understand themselves and their colleagues better, increasing empathy on teams, and decreasing conflict so everyone can get back to doing their best work.
THE SOLUTION
DiSC® is an assessment tool (80 questions ~ 20 minutes) that results in identifying an individual's "style" (D, i, S, or C) based on two scales:
fast-paced and outspoken vs. cautious and reflective and
questioning and skeptical vs. accepting and warm.
Each of the four styles has unique tendencies and characteristics, priorities, stressors, motivators, and even limitations.
Everyone who completes the assessment receives a custom report, which is accessible in the DiSC® online platform, called Catalyst.
After logging into Catalyst, you can view your profile as well as those of your colleagues. It’s an at-a-glance database packed with learnings such as comparisons and tips for working with specific individuals.
Access to Catalyst is forever (as long as the employee is with the company).
Begin Development's DiSC® workshop is designed to help colleagues understand their own style and their colleagues' styles in order to increase self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and people skills.
THE OUTCOME
The result is less bad conflict in order to make way for good conflict (constructive disagreement that arises from a team that understands and trusts each other) so everyone can get back to doing their best work.
And the unintended outcome? Your people become better friends, partners, parents, and all-around better humans.
MORE ABOUT DiSC WORKSHOPS WITH BEGIN DEVELOPMENT
DiSC® workshops are usually structured in three 90-minute sessions and are accompanied by a workbook and live facilitator.
Alternatively, DiSC® content can be presented in an intensive-style format (one 2-3 hour session).
DiSC® services with Begin Development can be paired with our other leadership and development offerings and programs or as a stand-alone experience as part of a group onboarding, all-hands training day, quarterly offsite, or more.
